SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team, which faces Maryland in the NCAA Tournament Albuquerque Regional finals tonight, will be honored with a pep rally at noon on Tuesday on the northeast side of the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
The public is invited to attend the event, recognizing Utah's first-ever Elite Eight appearance. The team will be arriving in Salt Lake City via a chartered flight on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and is expected to be back on the University of Utah of campus by noon.
The Utes play Maryland tonight at 5 p.m. (MST) at The Pit in Albuquerque, N.M., with the winner advancing to the Final Four next weekend in Boston. The game will be televised live by ESPN.
