SALT LAKE CITY -- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Eastman Kodak Company announced today the 2006 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Kodak/WBCA All-America Basketball Team. This year's team marks the 32nd year of the longest running sponsorship in women's athletics. Selection committees in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions select ten of the top women's basketball players in the nation to be honored.
For the fourth consecutive year, Smith was named as an honorable mention member of the Kodak/WBCA All-America team.
Smith adds this honor to her Third-Team All-America honors from the Associated Press earlier this spring.
Smith was also a first-round selection in Wednesday's WNBA Draft, going to the Sacramento Monarchs with the 13th pick overall.
