Women's Basketball Adds Home Game with Northwestern

SALT LAKE CITY -- The University of Utah women's basketball team has completed its schedule for the 2006-07 season. The Utes have added a home contest with Northwestern University on Dec. 20.
The contest with the Wildcats is slated to tip off at Noon at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Along with the previously released schedule, this game rounds out Utah's slate for the upcoming season.
The Utes were 27-7 last season and advanced to the quarterfinals or Elite Eight of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship tournament. Utah was finally eliminated from the tournament in an overtime loss to Maryland, the eventual national champions.
The Utes open exhibition play on Nov. 4, hosting Albertson College. The regular season begins on Nov. 10, when the Utes travel to Spokane, Wash. for a matchup with Gonzaga.
