Utah Head Coach Rich Manning
"We put a challenging schedule in front of us this season to really test our team early, and we continue to learn from that schedule. Today's lesson was that we didn't come with the energy we needed to at the start of the game, and unfortunately we were down two goals quickly. We also weren't consistent enough with our defensive performance. To their credit, Purdue took advantage of that."
"In the second half I thought that we played some wonderful soccer. I was hoping that if we could have gotten one goal to go in, maybe we could have gotten a second. But our second half effort was too little too late. Hopefully we can learn from this and continue to grow."
"Carisse Winegar played at right back for us the last 55 minutes or so and gave us a nice lift. Kiley Jones was steady as usual and connected well with her passes. I also thought Amanda Feigt played very well."
