Utah Hosts Air Force Saturday
The University of Utah women's basketball team hosts Air Force as part of a rare doubleheader with the Ute men's team Saturday. The women's game will take place at approximately 3:45 p.m. and will tip off 35 minutes following the conclusion of the men's contest with Wyoming.
Utah is 12-6 overall and 5-0 in league action. The Utes defeated No. 23 TCU by a count of 72-61 Thursday night. Utah will bring a season-long, five-game winning streak into the contest with the Falcons.
Air Force comes into Saturday's contest coming off a 60-46 loss at New Mexico. The Falcons are 4-12 overall and 0-5 in MWC action. Utah has never lost a game to the Air Force Academy, holding a 23-0 record in the series.
Utah topped the Falcons three times last year.

? Thursday's win over TCU was Utah's second against a Top 25 team in the last two weeks.
? Utah is 8-0 this season when scoring 66 points or more. The Utes are 5-0 when holding opponents below 50 points.
? The 14-point deficit overcome at New Mexico on Jan. 7 was the largest the Utes have overcome all season.
? Utah has allowed an average of just 50.2 points per game in league play, tops in the MWC.
Tenacious D
Utah has been a historically strong defensive team, leading the nation in scoring defense in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. As of late, the current Utes are showing some of the tendencies of their predecessors. Utah is currently No. 4 in the Mountain West Conference in scoring defense, allowing 56.9 points per game. But in its first five league contests, the Utes have allowed just 50.2 points per contest. That total is tops in the MWC in conference games. The Utes also lead the MWC in field-goal percentage defense (.322) in conference contests.
