Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott
"It's very disappointing. I wanted a better effort but Wyoming came to play and earned the game. The motivation seems to be eluding us. We can't play good teams and spot them every time you play. That was just a team that came out ready to play and jumped on us early, and said 'Its our game.' Its hard to come back from that. Tonight we came in here and didn't make it happen for ourselves. When you play a good team that feels like they're going to compete, they're going to take it right away from you and Wyoming did that."
Utah Sophomore Morgan Warburton
"We didn't show a full 40-minute effort. I mean we played good and on a roll then sometimes we let up and they take advantage of it. We can't play 38 minutes and expect to win. We have to play the full 40 minutes. We were pumped up and were looking to get the second seed (in the MWC Tournament) if we won and that didn't happen. It doesn't matter who we play in the tournament, we have to play them. Its starts on Monday (at practice). It's up to us and we just have to work hard."
Utah Freshman Kalee Whipple
"As a team, we need to come together and keep going. None of us came out playing very hard tonight. We just have to pick it up. At times we couldn't get the ball in the basket and that's when we just have to play through it. We need to learn from these past two losses and come back on Monday ready to practice and prepare for the tournament."
Wyoming Head Coach Joe Legerski
"It was a remarkable college basketball game. I thought both teams played extremely hard and baskets were very difficult to come by. The quality teams are always going to make runs. We knew they (Utah) were going to come back because that's the type of team they are. We withstood it, but we need to shoot better from the free-throw line, because that's a big part of the game. I have so much respect for Coach Elliott and her program. I had the opportunity to work under her for 12 years, and I learned a great deal about the game of basketball from her."
