COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah senior Morgan Warburton has been named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Warburton led Utah with 18.5 points per game, a 73.7 shooting average and seven three-pointers, including an 87.5 shooting percentage from behind the arc against Conference foes Air Force and Colorado State. The Helper, Utah, native led the Utes with 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting (.727) vs. the Falcons, going 3-for-3 from three-point range and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line. She added four assists in addition to a block and a steal. Against the Rams, Warburton scored 16 points, going 6-for-8 (.750) from the floor and 4-for-5 (.800) from behind the line. She also had four rebounds, three assists and a steal.
This marks Warburton's second weekly honor of the season.
