The Utah women's basketball players will periodically check in with their thoughts on the season. Today, Josi McDermott talks about Utah's upcoming games.
Alright Fans... So far, so good! And yes, I mean that, even taking into consideration our last encounter with San Diego State. It doesn't look good on paper, but as cliché as it sounds, we definitely learned a lot from the loss and bounced right back and did what we needed to do to get a win on the road against Air Force. Everyone did their part to stay healthy and rested as the toughest part of the season approached, and now we just have to keep our minds attentive on what's ahead.
Although our last week was a long one, filled with both a win and a loss, plenty of time in airports, and of course an extremely romantic Valentine's day with each other, we're already focused on our next challenger. In case you haven't been following along, Colorado State has really turned their year around since the last time we met. They most recently beat UNLV by 30 points, and had close matches with BYU and San Diego State, losing by only two and one points, respectively. The hardest part about this game will be forgetting the outcome of our first round against them and realizing the strides they've taken to be the team they are right now. I hope all of you are ready to get your friends together and come out to watch us take on The Rams on Wednesday night at 7 pm! If you get wild enough, I just might throw you a shirt after the game :)
