The Utah women's basketball players will periodically check in with their thoughts on the season. Today, Janita Badon talks about Utah's upcoming games.
Hey Ute Fans!!!
Can you honestly say you're proud to be a Ute? I know for a fact I can! I'm having trouble deciding the main reason why I'm so proud, I don't know if it's the way the coaches and staff put student before athlete or our team chemistry! Being a Ute is far more than just basketball to me, it's taking care of your studies as well. With the four hours of study hall a week we freshmen have to do, they're constantly making sure we're putting in as much work in the classroom as we're putting in the gym.
Starting the season off so strong, we plan to end it the same way. With only four games left, we're striving to get better and learn from each game. Seeing that our next home game is against BYU, can we all say this together? "WE MUSS PROTECT THIS HOUSE!!!!!!"
But more importantly, lets remember that we need to take it one game at a time, and focus on UNLV at their home. We shouldn't forget the last game we played against them. They held on until the second half. We learned shortly that they are a team that likes to run, attack the basket and they don't give up. We have to take care of the ball and play the game at our pace.
We really appreciate the support. We encourage you to keep it up! It helps keep us going. We thank you, and look forward to seeing you and thirty more of your friends at the BYU game, 1:30pm on Saturday 2/28! Go Utes!
