The Utes need 33 points to clinch the victory for the year, which they can achieve with a victory in today's game. The Utes won the first game of the women's basketball series.
With Utah's loss to UNLV on Wednesday, TCU (11-3) and San Diego State (10-3) closed in a little on the Mountain West Conference lead, as each team won their Wednesday games. The Utes won the first meeting between these two teams, 63-55 in Provo on Jan. 28. The game was tied, 27-27, at halftime before Utah pulled out to an 11 point lead with 13 minutes left (44-33).
