The Utah women's basketball players will periodically check in with their thoughts on the season. Today, Morgan Warburton talks about Utah's upcoming games.
Hello fans!!
What a year so far! I am so happy and proud to be playing for the University of Utah. These past few weeks have been up and down, but I am excited to say that we are in good spirits about who we are and what we want to accomplish. The highlight of our week was none other than beating BYU! I can't tell you enough how proud I am of my teammates. Our backs were up against the wall but we never gave in. It was a hard fought battle, but in the end we got the victory.
Now on to our next test. Some would say we stole the game away from New Mexico. Whatever you might think, it was one of the most memorable games I have ever played in. We are so excited to get another shot at them but we are hoping it won't be down to the wire like before. New Mexico will be ready for us that's for sure, but if I know the Lady Utes' like I think I do we are up for the challenge. I hope to see you all there to cheer us on to another conference championship.
This Wednesday is also senior night. I never thought that this night would come so fast. I just wanted to thank all you fans for the best four years I could ever ask for! Your support is what fuels our team and I appreciate it. I am so thankful to have had the teammates and coaches that I've had over the past four years. Even though it is a sad day, I can't help but be so happy for what Utah and all you fans have given me. Katie, Deanne, and myself are looking forward to one last game on the Huntsman floor and I can assure you it will be a great one. Thank you all and GO UTES!!
