SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team looks to get back on track in the Mountain West Conference at San Diego State on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 7:00 p.m. PT (tip at 7:10). The game will be televised on CBSC with commentary from Ann Schatz and Tammy Blackburn while radio is available on KALL 700 AM. Live stats are available at UtahUtes.com.
The Utes (10-6, 1-2 MWC) saw their 19-game home winning streak snapped on Saturday with a 54-49 loss to UNLV, despite Kalee Whipple's second double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
San Diego State (11-5, 3-1 MWC) saw a seven-game winning streak come to an end in its last outing against TCU, falling 80-63 in Fort Worth on Saturday.
Jene Morris ranks third in the MWC with 14.9 points per game. Quenese Davis (12.9 points) and Paris Johnson (11.3 points) are also averaging in double figure scoring. Jessika Bradley leads the Aztecs with 7.8 rebounds per game.
Utah leads the all-time series with San Diego State, 29-12. The Utes have won four of the last five games of the series, including a 63-58 win over the Aztecs in the MWC Tournament championship game last season.
The Utes are ranked 15th nationally in field-goal percentage defense (34.4), 22nd in scoring defense (55.1) and 11th in personal fouls per game (13.8).
