SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team comes off its longest game of the year with a trip to Albuquerque to face New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 2:00 p.m. Action can be found on KALL 700 AM from Mike Roberts.
Kalee Whipple scored a MWC record 45 points as Utah fell to TCU in four overtimes on Wednesday, 105-96. Whipple's career night included a 3-pointer as time expired at the end of the third overtime that tied the game at 90. The contest was also the longest game in school and MWC history. Several other school and building records were set in the contest.
New Mexico is coming off a 65-59 loss in The Pit. They had previously won three-straight games against league leaders BYU, TCU and San Diego State.
Amy Beggin leads New Mexico with 13.5 points per game. Lauren Taylor is also in double figure scoring with 10.1 points. Jessica Kielpinski leads the Lobos with 6.1 rebounds per game and has 27 blocks.
Utah defeated the Lobos back on Jan. 12 in Salt Lake City, 46-40. Taryn Wicijowski had a double-double for the Utes with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
