SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team travels to Las Vegas on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m. PT, to face UNLV. Radio is available at KNRS 570 AM.
The Utes bounced back from their four-overtime loss to TCU with a 52-49 win at New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 13. Taryn Wicijowski had 17 points while Halie Sawyer had a season-high 13 points with nine rebounds. Kalee Whipple also scored 13 points. It was Utah's eighth game this year decided by five points or less. The Utes' are 6-2 in those contests.
UNLV has had some solid wins of late, beating New Mexico in The Pit last week and earning a home win against San Diego State. The Rebels are 12-13 overall and 5-6 in the MWC. Erica Helms leads the team in scoring with 13.7 points per game while Jamie Smith holds the MWC rebounding lead with 10.0 per game.
The Rebels beat the Utes back on Jan. 16. Whipple scored 23 points for Utah, while UNLV was led by Helms' 19 points.
