SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team has won four of its last five games and looks to continue its three-game winning streak against Air Force on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7:00 p.m. Radio is available at KNRS 570 AM with live stats and video on UtahUtes.com.
The Utes are coming off a 73-55 victory over San Diego State. Kalee Whipple led Utah with 23 points while Taryn Wicijowski had her fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Whipple was named the Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after averaging a double-double for the week with 21.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, leading the Utes to a 2-0 record against UNLV and San Diego State.
Air Force is 3-22 on the season and 0-12 in MWC play. The Falcons closest game in conference play was against UNLV back on Jan. 26, falling 77-76. Raimee Beck is Air Force's top player, averaging 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Utah has never lost to Air Force, holding a 28-0 record in the series. Earlier this year, the Utes beat the Falcons 67-47 in Colorado behind a career-high 24 points from Wicijowski.
