SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team puts its four-game winning streak to the test at Wyoming on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2:00 p.m. The game will be televised on The Mtn. while radio is available at KALL 700 AM.
Utah (17-9, 8-5 MWC) is coming off a 73-48 win over Air Force on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The Utes opened the second half on a 26-5 run en-route to the victory. Kalee Whipple led Utah with 17 points. Utah had its best shooting output of the season, hitting 58-percent of their shots from the floor.
Wyoming (16-9, 7-6 MWC) is coming off a bye week, falling by three points at Brigham Young on Feb. 20, 51-48. The Cowgirls has been tough to beat at home this year, going 10-1 at Arena-Auditorium. Their only home loss this year was to Oregon. Wyoming leads the league in three-point field goal percentage (.384).
Aubrey Vandiver is in the top 10 in the league in both scoring (13.6 points) and rebounding (9.8 rebounds). Hillary Carlson is the team's top scorer with 15.3 points per game.
A strong second half propelled the Utes to a 54-47 win back on Jan. 27 in the Huntsman Center. Whipple led all players with 25 points.
