SALT LAKE CITY - Four teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last season highlight the 2010-11 Utah women's basketball non-conference schedule, including a home game against national runner-up Stanford.
"Our non-conference schedule is a difficult one," interim head coach Anthony Levrets said. "It will help us prepare for the rigors of competing in the Mountain West. It will be fun for the fans to have the opportunity to watch several Pac-10 teams in the Huntsman Center this season."
In addition to Stanford, which makes a trip to Salt Lake City on Nov. 19, the Utes will also face Washington (Dec. 1) and Arkansas (Dec. 4) in the Huntsman Center.
The schedule includes a trip to Cancun, Mexico, for the Caribbean Classic. Utah will play NCAA participants Hartford and Green Bay in the Thanksgiving tournament, as well as Penn State, which was in the WNIT. Other road games include a trip to Starkville, Miss., to play Mississippi State.
The Mountain West Conference portion of the schedule, along with the broadcast schedule, will be released in the next few weeks.
