SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team finishes its first round through the Mountain West Conference campaign against UNLV on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 8:00 p.m.
The first 100 fans receive a free Utah fan sign. It is also Student Appreciation Night, and one lucky student will win a $300 gift card to the University Bookstore.
Utah (10-11, 3-4 MWC) struggled in the second half as the Utes fell to Colorado State on Saturday afternoon in its last game, 53-48. It was Utah's 13th game this year decided by 10 points or less.
Utah has struggled offensively during the season, but ranks near the top of the conference in both scoring defense (56.1) and rebounding defense (34.1).
UNLV is 9-12 overall and 5-6 in the conference. The team has also had many of its games decided by close margins. In its last three games, the Rebels have lost by eight to Wyoming, beat New Mexico by eight and fallen to Colorado State by five.
"This is an important game for us, as the last game of the first part of conference play" interim head coach Anthony Levrets said. "We need to continue to improve at both ends of the floor."
Utah holds a 27-13 all-time lead in the series, with the two teams splitting their games in each of the past two seasons.
