SALT LAKE CITY - Utah junior forward Taryn Wicijowski has been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District, team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Wicijowski will be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors. It is the second-straight season she has been an Academic All-District selection.
Wicijowski, who is majoring in biology and psychology with a minor in chemistry, has a 3.93 grade point average. She is seventh in the Pac-12 with 14.9 points per game and is averaging 7.0 rebounds per game. Wicijowski entered the week ranked 26th in the NCAA with a .538 field goal percentage. Last season she was a first-team all-Pac-12 selection.
Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
