2013-14 `Getting to Know U'
Today's `Returning to U' spotlight is on senior forward Taryn Wicijowksi.
What is your favorite basketball memory?
Beating Australia in the U19 World Championships to get to the medal rounds, the best Team Canada has ever done.
What is your favorite sport besides basketball?
Hockey.
What do you like to do when you are not playing basketball?
Sleep, go to the movies, hang out with my dog.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
Because of the family atmosphere of the team.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My parents. They have shown me what hard work and sacrifice can get you. They support me in everything I do and are my No. 1 fans.
The teammate(s) I admire most are who, and why?
Ciera (Dunbar). She has been through a ton of adversity, but comes to every practice and work out ready to work hard.
What do you like best about Coach Levrets?
His passion for the game and the fact that he cares about us as people.
What is your goal for this year?
To get healthy.
What are your pregame superstitions?
Always put my left shoe on first.
What is your major? What do you want to do after you graduate?
Biology and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. Become a doctor.
