Incoming Utah women's basketball freshman Emily Potter continues with the Canada Junior Women's National Team at the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women as Canada enters the quarterfinals of the tournament.
In the Eight Final Round, Potter scored nine points with three rebounds and two blocks in a loss to China. She scored four points and pulled down four rebounds in a loss to the USA. Potter led all scorers with 15 points on 47 percent shooting while adding eight rebounds in Canada's win over Lithuania.
Potter is averaging 8.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game through the tournament.
Canada will face Spain in the quarterfinals on Friday, July 26. The winner will move on to the semifinals while the loser will play for fourth through eighth place through Saturday, July 27.
