2013-14 Utah Women's Basketball Schedule
"We are excited about our schedule," Levrets said. "We feel like our preseason will prepare us very well as we get ready to compete in a very tough Pac-12."
The Utes will take on a competitive schedule that includes seven games against four teams that earned a spot in last season's NCAA Tournament, while three of those teams made it through to at least the Sweet 16.
After an exhibition against Mary (Nov. 1) and their regular-season opener against Denver (Nov. 8) in Salt Lake City, the Utes host Nebraska of the Big Ten Conference in their Pac-12 Networks season debut on Nov. 15 in the Huntsman Center. The Cornhuskers welcome back four starters from their 2012-13 team that qualified for the Sweet 16.
Road tests at Utah State (Nov. 19) and UNLV (Nov. 26) await the Utes before the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas, which will feature neutral-site matchups against Butler (Nov. 29) and Marquette (Nov. 30).
Utah returns to the Huntsman Center to host Nevada (Dec. 7) and Utah Valley (Dec. 11) before heading to Provo for the Deseret First Duel at BYU on Dec. 14. The contest against the Cougars will be televised live on BYU-TV.
The Utes wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule with a pair of home contests against Samford (Dec. 21) and UC Santa Barbara (Dec. 30).
Pac-12 Conference competition begins with the Los Angeles trip. Both games will be aired live on the Pac-12 Networks, starting on Jan. 3 at UCLA and on Jan. 5 at USC. The Bruins made it to the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
Stanford, who also picked up a pair of NCAA Tournament wins to qualify for the Sweet 16, travels to the Huntsman Center for a Jan. 10 before 2013 NCAA Final Four participant California visits Salt Lake City on Jan. 12. Both the games against the Cardinal and Golden Bears will be shown live on the Pac-12 Networks.
Utah travels to the Evergreen State to take on Washington (Jan. 17) and Washington State (Jan. 19). The game in Pullman will be on the Pac-12 Networks.
A three-game homestand then awaits the Utes, including Arizona State (Jan. 24), Arizona (Jan. 26) and 2013 NCAA Tournament qualifier Colorado (Jan. 29). The return game in Boulder, Colo., will be on Feb. 2 with both contests appearing on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Utes are at Oregon on Feb. 7 and Oregon State on Feb. 9 in a game that will be carried live on the Pac-12 Networks. Washington State (Feb. 14) and Washington (Feb. 16) come to the Huntsman Center, while the Utes return to the road for games at Arizona (Feb. 21) and Arizona State (Feb. 23). The ASU game will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
The regular season concludes with home games against USC (Feb. 27) and UCLA (Mar. 2) and both matchups will be found on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Pac-12 Tournament will be held in Seattle, Wash.'s KeyArena on Mar. 6-9.
