Today's spotlight is on freshman guard Devri Owens.
What is your favorite sport besides basketball?
Football.
What do you like to do when you are not playing basketball?
Shopping.
Do you have a nickname?
Dev.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I love my teammates and coaching staff in addition to the beautiful view.
Who had the biggest influence in your life?
My dad. He pushed me every day to get better.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
The view.
The teammate(s) I admire most are who, and why?
Ariel (Reynolds) and Dani (Danielle Rodriguez) because they took me under their wing even though I'm only a freshman.
What do you like best about Coach Levrets?
He always has a positive attitude.
What are your goals for this year?
To make it to the NCAA Tournament and make some noise. Playing an important role on this team.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I hate eating too much before a game.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
My major is undeclared, but I am looking into becoming an occupational therapist and/or a basketball coach.
