Fresh off a three-game road trip, the University of Utah women's basketball team returns to the Jon M. Huntsman Center to host Washington State TONIGHT at 7 p.m. MT.
Utah is 10-13 overall through 23 games and the Utes are 3-9 in league play. The Utes are 7-4 at home overall and have won their last two Pac-12 contests at home.
Washington State is 12-12 overall with a 6-6 mark in league play, but has lost six of their last seven. The Cougars are 4-6 in road contests this season, including a 2-3 mark in Pac-12 games.
Plouffe's Points: Last week, senior forward Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton, Alberta) scored a team-high 15.0 points per game and chased down 12.0 rebounds per contest at Oregon and Oregon State. She shot .444 (12-27) from the floor against the Ducks and Beavers.
Plouffe's Record Book Update: Plouffe is fifth in school history with 1,926 career points and is now 38 points away from tying Kalee Whipple (1,964 from 2006-10) for fourth on the list. Plouffe is second in school history with 1,081 career rebounds and is now 26 rebounds away from passing Anne Handy (1,106 from 1981-85) for the school record.
Wilson From 3: Junior guard Cheyenne Wilson (Seattle, Wash.) has shot .559 (19-34) from the field and .538 (7-13) from 3-point range over the last four games and averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 assists during that stretch. Wilson was second on the squad with 14.5 points and 3.0 assists per game last weekend at Oregon and Oregon State.
Range From Rodriguez: Sophomore guard Danielle Rodriguez (Downey, Calif.) dished out 3.5 assists per game, scored 5.0 points and had 3.0 rebounds last weekend at Oregon and Oregon State. Rodriguez is fourth in the Pac-12 (121st in NCAA) with 4.2 assists per game this season and ranks fifth (73rd in NCAA) in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8, 97-55). She is also fifth in the Pac-12 in minutes played (36.4 mpg). In league games only, Rodriguez is sixth in minutes (37.0 mpg), eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.3, 38-29) and tied for eighth in assists (3.2 apg).
