OFFENSIVE LINE
The Lowdown
First-year Ute offensive line coach Jim Harding has four players with starting experience and quality depth behind them.
Headliners Returning
Two-year starting tackle Jeremiah Poutasi (6-6, 320, Jr.) is now comfortable on the left side, where he played last fall, and is poised for a breakout season. Next to him at left guard, Junior Salt (6-2, 315, Sr.) is another all-conference candidate. Siaosi Aiono (6-2, 305, Jr.) takes over at center after splitting starts at right tackle with Isaac Asiata (6-4, 310, So.) a year ago.
Newcomer Spotlight
Possibly the biggest name in Utah's 2014 signing class was 6-7, 300-pound four-star recruit Jackson Barton out of Salt Lake City's Brighton High School. Rivals.com ranked him No. 7 nationally at his position and No. 1 overall in Utah.
Coach Whittingham Says
"The offensive line should be a strength for us this season. We have a lot of experience returning and some promising young players coming up through the ranks."
