SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's basketball team will play 12 regular-season games on the Pac-12 Networks during the 2014-15 regular season as head coach Anthony Levrets announced the program's conference and television schedule for the upcoming campaign on Monday.
"We are fortunate to be on the Pac-12 Networks 12 times during the regular season," Levrets said. "That kind of exposure allows people across the nation to see our team and conference."
The Utes will take on a typically competitive conference slate that includes 14 games against nine teams that earned a spot in last season's NCAA or WNIT Tournaments, while seven of those teams advanced in their respective postseason tournaments.
"We are excited for another year in the Pac-12 Conference," Levrets said. "Again this season, the conference will be incredibly competitive from top to bottom. We look forward to that challenge and it's a great opportunity to measure our program against the best night in and night out."
Road tests at California (Jan. 3), who reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, and 2014 NCAA Final Four qualifier Stanford (Jan. 5) await the Utes to open Pac-12 play. Both games will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.
Utah returns to the Huntsman Center for a pair of games to be air live on the Pac-12 Networks, starting with UCLA (Jan. 9) and USC (Jan. 11).
The Utes begin a back-to-back series with their travel partner, Colorado, starting Jan. 14 in Boulder and Jan. 18 in Salt Lake City. Both contests will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
A trip to the Evergreen State awaits the Utes, facing Washington State on Jan. 23 in Pullman, Wash., before heading to Seattle to take on Washington Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. PT in Alaska Airlines Arena, and will also be shown on the Pac-12 Networks.
Utah then hosts Arizona (Jan. 30) and Arizona State (Feb. 1) and heads to Los Angeles for a road doubleheader beginning at USC (Feb. 6) before traveling across town for a game at UCLA (Feb. 8). The matchup against the Women of Troy will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks.
Washington and Washington State come to Salt Lake City as the Utes begin a four-game homestand by hosting the Huskies (Feb. 13) and the Cougars (Feb. 15), which will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks
The Utes take on Oregon (Feb. 20) and Oregon State (Feb. 22) in the Huntsman Center with the contest against the Beavers beginning at 12 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Networks. The regular season closes with a pair of road games at Arizona State (Feb. 27) and Arizona (Mar. 1) with the regular-season finale airing on the Pac-12 Networks.
The Pac-12 Tournament will be held in Seattle's KeyArena on Mar. 5-8 with all games aired live on the Pac-12 Networks.
