On the Court …
During your first few weeks on the job, what has impressed you the most about Utah women's basketball? Utah Athletics as a whole?
"The staff. They are a great group of people and they really care about the girls. Utah Athletics is really committed to supporting student athletes in every aspect and helping them perform at the highest level."
What are your early impressions of your team?
"They are a hard-working group. They are willing to do the little things to help themselves be successful on and off the floor."
After playing at Utah, what do you plan to bring to the current coaching staff?
"I think I can show the staff the pride that all the alumni have for this program."
What has your transition period been like? What has been most difficult?
"It has been great. Hectic at times, but I've loved every minute of it. I've had the hardest time remembering everyone's names. There are so many people in the athletic department, it's hard to keep everyone straight sometimes, but I'm doing my best!"
You have been a part of Utah teams that have reached the NCAA Tournament, what did you learn during those experiences that will transfer over to your time at Utah?
"Those experiences helped me realize how much hard work it takes to be a part of a successful program and the importance of relying on others to help make yourself a better person."
What did you learn as a Graduate Assistant coach at Westminster College?
"I learned so much from Shelley Jarrard during my time at Westminster. One takeaway is the importance of building a strong culture and getting a group of girls to work towards a common goal together."
