The University of Utah women's basketball team officially begins practice on Monday, Oct. 5 so UtahUtes.com is launching a rapid-fire Q&A series --- "Better Know a Ute" --- to introduce the Utes to their fans before the 2015-16 season.

Favorite things about Utah after the first month of the fall semester?
Sugarhouse, the city and the mountains are all so close. There is always something to do and just good vibes all around.
Favorite place on campus?
The Huntsman Center.
Favorite place off campus?
My house, it is just the cutest!
After the first month of the fall semester at Utah, what do you know now that you wish you would have known before you started?
Have a beanie and mittens in the car for when you need to get snow/ice off your car in the mornings.
Looking forward to the upcoming season, what are you excited about most?
Traveling, I love staying in hotels. Most of all, I love shooting in other gyms. It gets me pumped up and ready to compete.
Favorite and least favorite strength and conditioning exercises?
Favorite = JD's (Utah Women's Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach Jacquelyn Harris) core "warmup."
Least Favorite = Single leg lunges/split squats.
What are you looking forward to most in the new practice facility --- the Jon M. and Karen Huntsman Basketball Center?
It will be open and accessible all of the time!
Elements of your game you need to improve most?
One-on-one defense and I can always be a better ball handler.
Off the Court ...
Other than basketball, what other sport at Utah would you like to play?
Badminton.
Favorite place you have traveled to?
Ireland.

Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Twins.
