Scouting the Series: Utah leads the series against the Wildcats 45-6, including the last four victories. The two team have not met since Nov. 24, 2012.
Ute-Fence: Utah ranks fourth in the NCAA in field-goal percentage defense with opponent shooting 31.3 percent from the floor. The Utes are fourth nationally and first in the league in block shots average, swatting 7.0 shots per contest. The team's perimeter defense holds opponents to 21.3 percent from the 3-point arc good for third in the nation and second in the Pac-12.
Potter in the Paint: Junior forward
Emily Potter is ranked 10th in the nation and second the Pac-12 in field-goal percentage as the 6-6 Winnipeg, Manitoba native is shooting 64 percent from the floor. Potter is averaging 16.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She ranks second the Pac-12 in rebounds (91) and rebounds per game (101.).
Magnificent Malia: Junior wing
Malia Nawahine grabbed a career-high five steals in a 30-point win over Nevada. Nawahine is the second leading scorer for the Utes with 13.1 points per game as she leads the team from the foul line on 83-percent shooting.
Boasting Boclair: Junior wing
Tanaeya Boclair is averaging 11.6 points per game while shooting 81 percent from the foul line.
Cruzin' Crozon: Lone senior
Paige Crozon hits back-to-back 3-pointer in the team's last outing against BYU. The 6-1 wing is shooting a team-best 38 percent from the arc while averaging 9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Bouncing Bean: Sophomore
Erika Bean is the team's second leading rebounder pulling down 4.9 boards per game while dishing out 60 assists in nine games. Despite being the shortest starter, the 5-8 point guard also has nine blocks on the season.
Seeing Double: Junior forward has tallied four double-doubles in nine games while also averaging a double-double (16.8 pts, 10.1 rbs). Senior wing
Paige Crozon earned her first double-double of the season against Fresno State.
Record Watch: Junior forward
Emily Potter is moving up the career blocks list in Utah's record book with 150 blocks as her 3-block performance against Nevada moved her into second. Potter has also tallied 975 career points to put her in the race to enter the 1,000-point club.
Previous Action: The Utes opened the second half with a 17-0 run on their way to a 77-60 victory over in-state rival Brigham Young Saturday night at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Four Utes scored in double figures as the starters tallied 66 of team's points on their way to a 9-0 undefeated mark. In a close rivalry battle that had five lead changes and was tied five times in the first half, Utah (9-0) outscored BYU (5-4) in a dominated third quarter, 27-7.
Against the Big Sky: Utah defeated Big Sky opponent Montana State 74-64 to open the season and took on Southern Utah for a 69-43 victory to be 2-0 against the conference. Weber State is Utah's third Big Sky school of the season.
Staying Local: The Utes have hosted four in-state schools for a 4-0 mark (Utah Valley, Southern Utah, Utah State, BYU).
