SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's basketball team hosts Northern Arizona Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. at the Jon M. Huntsman Center for their final nonconference game of the season.
The Utes are an unblemished 10-0 as they try to match the 2000-01 season opening record at 11-0 before opening Pac-12 action Friday, Dec. 30 at UCLA.

Scouting the Series: Utah leads the series against the Lumberjacks 7-0 including four wins at home. The last time the two teams faced off Utah defeated NAU 68-45 on the road on Dec. 28, 2003.
Ute-Fence: Utah ranks fourth in the NCAA in field-goal percentage defense with opponent shooting 31.3 percent from the floor. The Utes are fourth nationally and first in the league in block shots average, swatting 7.0 shots per contest. The team's perimeter defense holds opponents to 21.3 percent from the 3-point arc good for third in the nation and second in the Pac-12.
Potter in the Paint: Junior forward
Emily Potter is ranked 12th in the nation and third the Pac-12 in field-goal percentage as the 6-6 Winnipeg, Manitoba native is shooting 62 percent from the floor. Potter is averaging 16.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game with five double-doubles on the season. She ranks second the Pac-12 in rebounds (109) and rebounds per game (10.9).
Magnificent Malia: Junior wing
Malia Nawahine is the second leading scorer for the Utes with 12.6 points per game as she leads the team from the foul line on 84-percent shooting. Nawahine grabbed a career-high five steals in a 30-point win over Nevada.
Boasting Boclair: Junior wing
Tanaeya Boclair is averaging 11.4 points per game while shooting 79 percent from the foul line.
Cruzin' Crozon: Senior wing
Paige Crozon is shooting a team-best 37 percent from the arc while averaging 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. The lone senior hits back-to-back 3-pointer in the team's outing against BYU to help the Utes to a 77-60 win over the in-state rival
Bouncing Bean: Sophomore
Erika Bean is the team's second leading rebounder pulling down 4.7 boards per game while dishing out 70 assists in 10 games. Despite being the shortest starter, the 5-8 point guard also has 10 blocks on the season.
Seeing Double: Junior forward has tallied five double-doubles in 10 games while also averaging a double-double (16.8 pts, 10.9 rbs). Senior wing
Paige Crozon earned her first double-double of the season against Fresno State.
Record Watch: Junior forward
Emily Potter is moving up the career blocks list in Utah's record book with 150 blocks as her 3-block performance against Nevada moved her into second. The 6-6 forward has swatted 32 shots this season for a career total of 158 blocks heading into the NAU matchup. Potter has also tallied 992 career points to put her in the race to enter the 1,000-point club.

Emily Potter led the way with her fifth double-double of the season scoring 17 points and grabbing 18 rebounds along with four rebounds in just 23 minutes of play. Utah's (10-0) defense held Weber State (4-6) to 27.9 percent shooting from the floor for four quarters. This marks the seventh game of the season Utah opponents have shot less than 34.9 percent from field-goal range.
Against the Big Sky: Utah is 3-0 against the Big Sky Conference this season with wins over Montanan State (74-64), Southern Utah (69-43) and Weber State (71-52). The Utes hold a 55-point advantage over the conference.
