The University of Utah women's basketball team finished seventh in the Pac-12 Conference regular-season standings and is awaiting its postseason fate. Utah is 16-14 overall and ended the regular season with an 8-10 mark in league play to finish in seventh after being picked 11th in the preseason coaches poll last October.
Utes Hit the Boards: In conference games only, Utah led the Pac-12 with 41.4 rebounds per contest in league matchups. Utah has out-rebounded its opponents in 22 of 30 games during the regular season. The Utes have a plus-6.5 advantage on the boards over their opponents this season, which is second in the Pac-12 and 39th in the NCAA. Utah is third in the Pac-12 with 42.2 rebounds per game overall. The Utes are second in the league with 29.1 defensive rebounds per contest and defensive rebound percentage (.714).
Consistent Starters: The Utes have had the same starting lineup for all 30 games this season.
Magic Markers: Utah is 13-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points this season. Conversely, the Utes are 0-9 when not scoring at least 60 points. Potter on Point: Utah redshirt sophomore forward Emily Potter received Pac-12 All-Conference recognition from both the coaches and media. She also earned Pac-12 All-Defensive Team Honorable Mention status. Potter has set the school's single-season blocks record and has 75 this season. She is already tied with Mikki Kane-Barton (118 from 1989-93) for sixth place in school history with 118 career blocks. Potter has 14 double-doubles this season and 18 over her career. Potter has double-figures in 26 of 30 games during this campaign and 45 over her career. Potter has 14 outings with 10 or more rebounds in 2015-16 and 20 during her career. In the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament against California on Mar. 3, Potter tied Crozon for team-high honors with 14 points with a 7-of-12 shooting performance.
Crozon Doubles Up: Junior wing Paige Crozon earned Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades during the 2015-16 season. Crozon tied for team-high honors with 14 points on Mar. 3 against California in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament and she hauled in a team-high eight rebounds.
Rousing Rodriguez: Senior point guard Danielle Rodriguez is eighth in the Pac-12 (91st in NCAA) with 4.3 assists per game. Rodriguez tied for eighth in the league (126th in NCAA) with a 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio (128-80). Rodriguez is 29th in the Pac-12 with 9.9 points per contest. Rodriguez now stands fourth in school history with 444 career assists. Rodriguez is just outside the top 10 in school history with a 34.1 3-point percentage (59-173). Rodriguez has played in 126 career games with 125 career starts as Utah's point guard.
Nawahine Nails It: Sophomore Malia Nawahine tied for 29th in the Pac-12 with 9.2 points per game in league action.
Katie Connects: Senior guard Katie Kuklok is third in the Pac-12 with a 43.5 (50-115) shooting percentage from 3-point territory. Kuklok is 13th in the league with 1.7 3-pointers per game and has scored double-figures 10 times this season.
