LAST TIME OUT
Utah suffered a pair of setbacks last weekend, falling 2-0 at Washington and 3-0 at Washington State. The Utes out-shot their opponents 25-22 and only registered one fewer shot on goal (12-11) but dropped both contests to fall to 1-4-1 on the road this season.

SERIES HISTORY
Utah is 1-7-1 vs. the Cardinal with the only win occurring away from home. In six prior Pac-12 meetings, the Cardinal have been ranked in the Top 10, every single time. Last year, No. 3 Stanford beat Utah 2-0 and in the last match at Ute Field, the No. 8 Cardinal earned a 4-1 victory. In 2014, Utah received a goal two minutes into the second half to earn a 1-1 draw with No. 4 Stanford. The only win for the Utes was in the 2006 opener, a 2-1 win over the No. 19 Cardinal in Santa Clara, Calif.
Â
Utah has never beaten Cal (0-6-3) with all three ties occurring in the last four years. The Golden Bears have also been ranked in the Top 25 the past four times these teams have played. Last year, No. 10 Cal scored on the hour to get a 1-1 draw against the Utes in Berkeley. This will be the first match at Ute Field since a scoreless draw in 2013 when the Golden Bears were ranked No. 11 in the country.
