The Basics: The University of Utah women's basketball team closes out its five-game home stand when it hosts Pepperdine on Tuesday, Dec. 5 in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The game is set for a 6 p.m. tip.
Home Sweet Home: The Utes are 494-102 all-time in the Jon M. Huntsman Center, holding a winning home record for three straight seasons and in five of the last six seasons. The Utes are 5-0 in Salt Lake City this season.
About the Waves: Pepperdine enters the game against the Utes 4-3 overall under first year head coach DeLisha Milton-Jones. The Waves are coming off a 71-44 win over Utah Valley, but haven't been able to string two wins in a row this season. Pepperdine is led by Yasmine Robinson-Bacote, who is averaging 22.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, ranking 11th in the country in points per game. Peyton Langston is also averaging in double digits for the Waves, scoring 10.0 points per game, starting in six of their seven games.

Utes vs. The West Coast Conference: The Utes are in the middle of a three-game stretch against teams from the West Coast Conference (Saint Mary's, Pepperdine and BYU). Utah is 98-50 all-time against the current members of the West Coast Conference, including a 74-63 win over Saint Mary's this season. Utah and Pepperdine are meeting for the first time in program history on Tuesday.
Last time Out: In back-to-back games, Utah has struggled to shoot consistently from the three, but thanks to stingy defense, Utah came away with another victory, beating Saint Mary's 74-63. Utah only shot 23-percent from the arc, but forced a season-high 27 turnovers and came away with 17 steals. Daneesha Provo led the Utes off the bench with 17 points with Emily Potter adding 15 points. Tori Williams chipped in 14 points, also tying for a game-high five steals with Tilar Clark.
Records Fall: Senior Emily Potter already held the Utah record for single-season blocks (89 in 2016-17) but has now clutched the career record with her one block against Saint Mary's (12/2). She has 226 total, passing the previous record holder Lauren Beckman who had 225 from 1998-02.
Assists in Doubles: Erika Bean dished out a season-best 11 assists against Saint Mary's (12/2). It was the fourth time in her career she has had double-figure assists in a game. Her career-high in assists is 12, set against Charlotte last season. Her 11 assists is the fourth-highest assist total in the Pac-12 this season.
Helpful Hands: Fifty-percent of Utah's made field goals against Saint Mary's (12/2) came on assists (15 assists, 30 FG). This season, 62-percent of Utah's made field goals are coming from assists.
Defensive Stops: Utah's 17 steals against Saint Mary's (12/2) was a season-high. The Utes had two players account for over half of its steals totals with Tilar Clark and Tori Williams recording career-highs of five steals each.
Turnover Time: Utah forced a season-best 27 turnovers against Saint Mary's (12/2), scoring 28 points off the mistakes. Utah countered with just 14 turnovers on its end with Utah ranking in the top-40 in the country in turnovers per game (13.4).
Spark the Game: Daneesha Provo is currently tied for first in the Pac-12 in points per game by a player coming off the bench. Provo and Satou Sabally (Oregon) are both averaging 13.1 points per game coming off the bench. Provo led Utah in points with 17 against Saint Mary's (12/2).
