SALT LAKE CITY – Utah women's basketball head coach
Lynne Roberts announced the signing of Kemery Martìn and Brynna Maxwell to the 2019-20 roster today, adding even more depth to an already talented squad.
"This is an exciting day for our program," Roberts said. "Our staff has worked really hard to be able to sign these two incredibly talented players. Both of these players bring competitiveness, talent, and a genuine desire to take Utah women's basketball to new heights. Kemery and Brynna were nationally sought after and recruited heavily and we could not be more excited for them to join our Ute family."
Both Martìn, a 6-0 guard out of Sandy, Utah, and Maxwell, a 6-0 guard from Gig Harbor, Wash., were highly recruited four and five-star commits. The duo brings a wealth of talent with them to Salt Lake City with both Martin and Maxwell earning all-state, all-area and all-region selections throughout their careers.
Both signees averaged over 20 points per game last season as juniors, leading their teams to the postseason. Martìn took Corner Canyon to a regional championship while Maxwell led Gig Harbor to their first-ever state championship, setting a tournament record for points (27.6 points per game).

Roberts's thoughts on Kemery: "When I got the job here at Utah three years ago, signing this local star was a top priority and it has remained at the top of our recruiting list ever since. Kemery is a special player. She has a feel for the game that you just can't teach. She plays with an entertaining flair as a play maker and she just makes the game look easy. People are going to love watching her play and we are excited to have a Salt Lake City native on our roster."
