SALT LAKE CITY – Senior
Emily Potter has been named to the 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, it was announced today.

Potter earned a spot on the second team in District 8, joining the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. This is Potter's first academic all-district honor.

On the court, Potter has been key for the Utes in her time on campus, ranking in the top-10 all-time in career offensive, defensive and total rebounds along with field goals made. She also holds the single-season and career block record for the Utes with her career total ranking her in the top-five all-time in Pac-12 history.

Off the court, the Winnipeg, Manitoba, native is a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic team selection. The senior, who already has a degree in marketing, is currently pursuing a degree in journalism as well.

She has made the Dean's list five times and has been on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester she has been a Ute. This year, Potter has also been interning with the Utah Daily Chronicle as a sports and column writer.Â
