The Basics: The University of Utah women's basketball team will kick off the 2018 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament against the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday, March 1 at 12:30 p.m. MT in the first round. The game will air on the Pac-12 Networks.
Utes and the Tournament: Utah is 2-6 in Pac-12 Tournament games since joining the league in 2011-12. The Utes will be seeking its first Pac-12 Tournament win under head coach Lynne Roberts.
About the Buffaloes: The Colorado Buffaloes finished the regular season 14-15 overall and 5-13 in Pac-12 play to finish ninth. They enter the tournament on a two-game losing streak, falling to #10 UCLA (73-67) and USC (65-53) on the road. Colorado is led in scoring by guard Kennedy Leonard, who is averaging 14.3 points per game this season. In Pac-12 play, the Buffaloes and the Utes are exact opposites, with Colorado ranking second in offensive rebounds and the Utes ranking second in defensive.
Next Round: With a win against Colorado on Thursday, the Utes will move to the next round to take on the No. 1 seeded Oregon Ducks on Friday, March 2. The game is set to tip at 12:30 p.m. MT.

Utah in the Conference Tournament: Utah is 40-21 all-time when playing in a conference tournament. The Utes were 4-0 in the HCAC Tournament, 12-7 in the WAC Tournament, 22-8 in the MWC Tournament and are 2-6 in the Pac-12 Tournament. Utah has only faced Colorado once in the Pac-12 Tournament, falling to the Buffaloes 55-41 in the first round in 2012.
Utes vs. The Pac-12: The Utes are 105-147 against the current members of the Pac-12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12, Utah is 44-82 in conference play.
Last time Out: In the Utes second straight overtime game, Utah took #10 UCLA down to the wire, but fell 78-71. There were seven ties throughout the game, including Tilar Clark's game tying layup with one second remaining to send it into overtime. Ute Senior Emily Potter put up 24 points and nine rebounds with Tori Williams adding 13 points, two assists and a block. Megan Jacobs also chipped in nine points and two steals off the bench.
Five Away: Senior Tanaeya BoClair currently has 995 career points through 122 career games (97 career starts). She is five points away from becoming the 28th player in program history to join the 1,000-career points club.
Potter for 20: Emily Potter had back-to-back games with 20+ points, scoring 20 against USC (2/22) and a season-high 24 against UCLA (2/24). She has 18 career games in the 20-point range and three this season. It was the fourth time in her career that she has had two consecutive 20-point games.
Williams in Doubles: Tori Williams scored 13 points against UCLA (2/24), her 13th game this season reaching double digits. She also knocked down three from distance against the Bruins, the 18th time this season she has had two-or-more threes in a game, giving her 56 total to rank first among Pac-12 freshmen and fifth overall in the league.
Clark's Improvement: Throughout the season, senior Tilar Clark has been averaging 7.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game, but in the last three, the senior has been integral. She has started the last three games and has averaged 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds. She reached double-digits (12 points) against USC (2/22) and then grabbed a season-high eight rebounds against the Bruins (2/24).
Bean's Double Threat: Junior Erika Bean has been key for the Utes on both ends of the court this season, leading the team in steals and assists. She ranks fifth in the Pac-12 in assists (153) and is 13th in steals (42), also sitting at No. 4 in assist/turnover ratio (2.6). She finished the game against UCLA with five assists, a season-best tying five steals and only two turnovers.
