Megan Huff and freshman
Tori Williams have earned spots on the Pac-12 All-Conference and All-Freshman teams, voted upon by the media.Â
Huff is one of 15 student-athletes from the conference that earned first-team honors by the media with Williams joining four others on the all-freshman team. Huff and Williams already earned all-conference honors earlier this week with Huff being named to the All-Pac-12 first-team by the coaches with Williams nothing honorable mention status for all-freshman.Â
Huff is leading Utah in points and rebounds per game, averaging 14.5 and 7.9, respectively. She has six double-doubles this season, ranking 11th in the league in scoring and in the top-10 in offensive, defensive and total rebounds.Â
Even though she has missed the last two games, Huff has put up 20 games in double-digits this season, including six games in the 20-point range. She enters the Pac-12 Tournament ranked fourth in the conference in field goal percentage after starting 27 games in her first season in a Utah uniform.Â
Williams is also in her first season with the Utes as a freshman and leads the team in three-pointers made (56). She ranks fifth in the league in threes with her total also being first among all Pac-12 freshmen, earning her Pac-12 Freshman of the Week twice.Â
She is averaging 9.0 points, 2.2 assists and a team-high 28.6 minutes per game and has been key for the Utes from the perimeter. She has hit two-or-more threes in 18 games this season, including a career-best seven against Washington to tie the Jon M. Huntsman Center record.Â
The Utes get started in the first round of the 2018 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 1 against Colorado. The game will air live on the Pac-12 Networks at 12:30 p.m. MT.
