Kiana Moore. The Fairfield, Calif. native is one of the fastest players on the court each game. She has played in 58 career games for the Utes.
Q: How did your interest in basketball begin?
A: My mom, dad, and brother all played in my younger years of life, so I just kind of developed a love for the game because of always being around it.
Q: What is your favorite part about playing basketball?
A: My favorite part about playing basketball is being able to step away from the "real world" for a bit and being able to use my competitive nature.
Q: What made you choose Utah?
A: The coaching staff, fans, academics, also family culture.
Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of basketball?
A:Â Braid hair, shop, hike, sleep.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you've been given?
A: Don't let someone tell you that you are not good enough, you, yourself is your only competitor.
Q: Who is your biggest influence in life on and off the court and why?
A: My mom, my dad and my brother. They all made me the woman I am today through what they have experienced and also give me great advice.
Q: What do you think are some keys to success when it comes to being a college athlete?
A: Time management.
Q: If you could play and go pro in any other sport, what would it be and why?
A: Golf. To me golf is a very strategic sport and not hard on your body.
Q: What are you looking forward to most this season?
A: Playing with my new teammates.
Q: What is your favorite part about being on the basketball team at Utah so far?
A: The amount of love I receive from the people in Utah.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Salt Lake City?
A: R&R BBQ.
Q: If you could have a super power, what would it be?
A: Teleportation.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: The Notebook. Makes me cry every time. Â
Q: What is a holiday that doesn't exist that you would like to create?
A: Fee free day (making purchases without fees).
Q: What did you want to be growing up?
A: Pediatrician.
Q: If you could take three things with you to a desert island, what would they be?
A: A kitchen, a bed and my phone.
Q: If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
A: Funny, energetic and outgoing.
Q: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
A: Strawberry.
Q: If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
A: I would go see my uncle Keone before he passed away from cancer.
