Whether it is being a head coach or a student manager, each member of the Utah women's basketball staff plays a key role for the student-athletes who come through the program. Get to know the 2018-19 women's basketball staff through a series called "Getting to know U". Assistant coach Joanna Reitz is entering her second year with the team.
Q: Where are you from?
A: Born in Oakley, Kan., raised in Denver, Colo.
Q: What made you decide to get into coaching?
A: I enjoy it! Every day is different and it integrates three things that I love - basketball, learning and people.
Q: Where did you get your degrees from?
A: I got my undergrad from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga. and my Master's from Florida State.
Q: What made you want to come to Utah?
A: The people!
Q: What has been your favorite part about moving to Utah so far?
A: The people, and also I love our facility, the campus, the city and all the stuff we get to do outside.
Q: Who are your biggest influences in life?
A: My parents.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City?
A: All of them, but the most frequented - Chick Fil A.
Q: If you had to sing karaoke, what song would you pick?
A: Tough question! Depends on my mood - but a few of my go-to songs would be "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, "The Sign" by Ace of Base, "Free and Easy" by Dierks Bentley, "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton and "Buddy Holly" by Weezer.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you've been given?
A: "Do the next right thing."
Q: If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, what would they be?
A: I would delete every app except Venmo.
Q: If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
A: Travel!

A: I love puns.
Q: What is your favorite road trip with women's basketball and why?
A: Does Italy count?
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: To go invisible!
