The Basics: The Utah women's basketball program is set for its second game of the weekend as they prepare to take on Washington in Seattle on Sunday, Jan. 13. The game will tip at 3 p.m. MT.

The Opponent: The Washington Huskies enter the game 8-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play, winning their first Pac-12 game of the season against Colorado on Friday night (68-58). They are led in scoring by Amber Melgoza, who is putting up 19.2 points per game which ranks seventh in the Pac-12 this year. The Huskies have been known to get to the free throw line this season, ranking third in the Pac-12 in free throw percentage (.756), led again by Melgoza. The junior currently ranks ninth nationally in free throws made this season (82) and 30
thin percentage (.872).

Last Time Out: The Utes came away with a gritty 72-68 win over Washington State on the road Friday night. Despite holding a 21-point lead in the first half, second half shooting woes gave the Cougars the chance to get back in the game. Great defense and a key free throw down the stretch propelled the Utes to their four-point win.
Megan Huff scored a team-high 21 points, shooting 7-of-13 while adding eight rebounds.
Dre'Una Edwards added 20 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Utah vs. The Pac-12: The Utes are 108-149 against the current members of the Pac-12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12, Utah is 47-83 in conference play.

Dre'Una Edwards put up a career-high 20 points in Utah's win over Washington State, her first career game as a Ute in the 20-point range. She has now scored in double-digits in 13 of Utah's 15 games this season.

Second Quarter Shooting:Utah shot a season-high 91-percent from the floor in the second quarter against Washington State, shooting 11-of-12 from the floor. The Utes went on to finish the game shooting 55-percent overall.
Made Half: The Utes have shot 50-percent or higher from the floor in three straight games, including its second-highest shooting percentage of 55-percent against Washington State (.633 at Eastern Washington). Utah has shot 45-percent or higher in 12 of the 15 games this season, ranking third in the Pac-12 and ninth nationally in field goal percentage (.485).
