Men's Tennis To Host Northern Arizona For Double Header

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah men's tennis team is set for another home weekend as they host a double-header with Northern Arizona on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The first match will take place at 11 a.m. MT with the second at 5 p.m. MT. There will be a live stream of the matches on UtahUtes.com with live updates available on Instagram (@UtahTennis) and Twitter (@UtahTennis).
The Utes are 3-0 against the Lumberjacks with Roeland Brateanu at the helm, including a 7-0 win last season. A full recap and results of both matches will be available on UtahUtes.com following the end of competition.
Utah is coming off a split weekend at the ITA Kickoff in Chapel Hill, N.C. after dropping their match to North Carolina 4-0, but rallying for a 4-0 win against Middle Tennessee State the next day.
Little got the first win of the match against MTSU on the No. 1 court, defeating Stijan Slump 6-3, 6-4 followed by a 6-4, 6-4 victory by Benkaim at No. 4. Rounding out singles was a gritty win by Mathias Gavelin on court six, losing the first set 6-4, but rallying to win two straight at 6-0, 6-0.
After the Utes double header on Saturday they head to Iowa City, Iowa for a neutral site match against Miami on Feb. 9 and then take on the Hawkeyes on Feb. 10.
