Q: What is your earliest memory of basketball and what was special about that moment? A: "Dressing up with my dad and sister in basketball clothes, putting medals on my neck, playing the Polish national anthem and pretending to be a world champion. I could do that for the entire day and not get bored."
Q: What was it like growing up in your hometown? Any specific memories that stand out? A: "School and basketball took up most of my time growing up in Poland. I remember how a lot of my classmates would go home, but I had to go straight to practice after school. I always felt like I sacrificed a lot of my free time, but I was so in love with basketball that I didn't care."
Q: How has your family influenced you on and off the court? A: "I owe everything to my family. My father for taking me to every practice and game and to my mother for always supporting me through tough times that I felt like quitting."
Q: Who would you say you take after most in your family and why? A: "I think my dad. They tell me we are both stubborn and like things have things our way, but they say I physically look like my mom more."
Q: What about the sport of basketball made you fall in love with it? A: " I really loved how basketball was in my family for generations. My parents and my sister all played, so it was always this thing that we all shared and later in life I realized it wasn't common, so I learned to appreciate it more."
Q: Was there ever a time that you thought college basketball wouldn't be in your future? If so, what made you change your mind? A: " I considered playing professionally after high school, but talking with my parents and friends made me realize playing and studying in America was a good opportunity, so I decided to take it."
Q: What is your dream job and why? A: "Well right now I would just love to have a job that I really enjoy that would pay for rent and food. I'm not being picky right now."
Q: What is something people might not know about you? A: "I am currently a vegetarian and I have been really enjoying it since I began."
Q: What about the University of Utah made you want to continue your career here? A: "The culture and the atmosphere. I think this school is the best place to find a balance between life, school and basketball."
