The University of Utah women's basketball program is set to tip off the 2019-20 season with an exhibition game against the Westminster Griffins. The game will start at 11 a.m. MT in the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
GAME DAY PROMOTIONS
Utah's exhibition game against Westminster is the Utes' annual "Future Scholars" day. Partnering with local elementary schools, the Jon M. Huntsman Center will welcome over 6,000 local children on Thursday. The admission to Thursday's game is FREE!
HOME SWEET HOME
The Utah women's basketball program has an 83-percent winning percentage when playing in Salt Lake City, holding an all-time record of 500-108. The Utes have nine seasons without a loss at the Huntsman Center and posted a 28-game home winning streak that lasted from Jan. 12, 1995 to Feb. 8, 1997.
NEXT UP
The Utes will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to open regular season play, taking on Cincinnati on Tuesday, Feb. 5 (5 p.m. MT) and Xavier on Thursday, Nov. 7 (5 p.m. MT).
THREE POINTERS
•   The Utes are coming off their first 20-win season since 2012-13. It was head coach
Lynne Roberts' first 20-win season since taking over in 2015-16 and it marked the third time in her four years at the helm that the Utes have had 18+ wins.
•   Utah ranked as high as No. 14 in the AP and Coaches polls last season, the first time the Utes have been ranked since 2008. It was the eighth time in program history that Utah has landed inside the top 15.
•   Utah returns three starters in
Daneesha Provo,
Kiana Moore and
Dru Gylten, along with
Andrea Torres who started in four games last season as a true freshman.
HOW TO TUNE IN
The game against Westminster will not be streamed and will also not be on the radio. During regular season games, Utah fans can tune in on ESPN 700 with every Pac-12 game this season being aired on the Pac-12 Networks.
