SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's basketball program came away with a strong 88-56 win over the Washington Huskies on Friday night, improving to 19-7 overall and 8-7 in Pac-12 play.Â
The Utes 19
thwin of the season is a program-high under the direction of head coach
Lynne Roberts and the most wins in a season since the 2012-13 season when the Utes won 24 games. Utah's 32-point win was on the heels of the Utes shooting 55-percent from the floor while out-rebounding the Huskies 40-27.
"Super proud of our team," Roberts said. "It was a convincing win. It is nice to get the win and get the monkey off the back a little bit. This group didn't feel sorry for themselves, they haven't been moping around and that speaks to who they are. That is fun to coach. I think this group is really resilient and it is really rewarding to coach that."Â
The Utes finished the game with five double-digit scorers with all eight players scoring at least a basket.
Megan Huff once again led the Utes with a double-double, scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds along with three steals.Â
Kiana Moore put up 17 points as well, shooting 5-of-11 from the floor and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

The Utes shot 53-percent from the floor in the first quarter with the Huskies shooting 64-percent, but Utah forced eight turnovers, causing a panic in the Washington offense to take a five-point lead into the second quarter.Â
