Â
Three Pointers:Â
• Utah claimed its 20th win of the season on Sunday, the most wins in a season and the first 20-win season under the direction of
Lynne Roberts. It is the most wins in a season since 2012-13 (24) and the first time the Utes have gotten to 20 wins in the regular season since joining the Pac-12.Â
• Utah's nine Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors set a Pac-12 record for most freshman of the week honors by a program in a season, passing Cal who had eight in 2015-16. Edwards's six awards is the third most by a player in a season (Kristine Anigwe - Cal, 8; Kelsey Plum - Washington, 7).Â
• Utah is averaging 18.2 assists and 28.2 made field goals per game with 64-percent of its made shots coming off assists. The Utes ranks No. 10 nationally in assists per game this season.Â
Â
Last Time Out:Â The Utes came up with a critical 75-67 win over Washington State on Sunday afternoon, honoring Utah's four seniors in the process. Utah was led in scoring by
Kiana Moore, who put up 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor and 6-of-9 from the arc.
Megan Huff added 25 points and 12 rebounds with Bean adding eight rebounds and eight assists.
Dru Gylten chipped in seven points and eight assists with
Andrea Torres putting up an integral seven points and four rebounds with five of her seven points coming in the fourth quarter.Â
Â
Utah vs. The Pac-12:Â The Utes are 114-155 against the current members of the Pac-12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12, Utah is 53-89 in conference play.
Huff Looks For 1,000:Â Through 57 games in a Utah uniform,
Megan Huff has 968 points. She is just 32 points away from becoming a 1,000-point scorer at Utah. With her 455 points during her time at Hawaii, she has 1,423 points in her career as a Division I women's basketball player.Â
Huff on the Double:Â Megan Huff has 16 double-doubles this season, including seven in the last nine games. She is tied for 13th nationally and is second in the Pac-12 in double-doubles this season. Huff has 22 double-doubles since becoming a Ute and 27 in her career (five at Hawaii).Â
Stepping into the Spotlight:Â Utah's mentality this season has been "next woman up," and that couldn't be more evident with the play of
Kiana Moore. After
Daneesha Provo was lost for the season to an injury, Moore has started the last 14 games. In those 14 games, she has averaged 12.5 points (scored 175 of her 245 total points) and has scored in double-digits in 10. In conference play alone, she is shooting 45-percent from the floor, averaging 31.7 minutes per game and is ranked fourth in the Pac-12 in three-point percentage (45.7%).Â
Moore Gets 20:Â Kiana Moore scored in the 20-point range for the first time in her career with her game-high 26 points against Washington State on Sunday. She is the sixth Ute to reach the 20-point mark this season, shooting a career-best 8-of-13 from the floor and 6-of-9 from the arc.Â
Starting Right:Â Andrea Torres started for the first time this season in Utah's win over Washington State. She chipped in seven points and a career-best three blocks, with five of her seven points coming in the fourth quarter.
