Three Pointers:
• Utah claimed its 20th win of the season last Sunday, head coach
Lynne Roberts's first 20-win season at Utah. It is the most wins in a season since 2012-13 (24) and the first time the Utes have gotten to 20 wins in the regular season since joining the Pac-12.
• Utah's nine Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors set a Pac-12 record for most freshman of the week honors by a program in a season, passing Cal who had eight in 2015-16. Edwards's six awards is the third most by a player in a season (Kristine Anigwe - Cal, 8; Kelsey Plum - Washington, 7).
• Utah is averaging 18.1 assists and 27.9 made field goals per game with 64-percent of its made shots coming off assists. The Utes rank No. 9 nationally in assists per game this season.
Last Time Out: The Utes struggled to get going offensively against the UCLA Bruins on Friday night, succumbing to a 76-60 loss on the road. The only shot 41-percent from the floor, but was able to hold UCLA to just 18-percent shooting from the arc, unfortunately for the Utes though, they committed a season-high tying 18 turnovers and were out-rebounded 41-29.
Megan Huff put up a team-best 21 points and three steals with
Sarah Porter adding 11 points and three rebounds.
Utah vs. The Pac-12: The Utes are 114-156 against the current members of the Pac-12. Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12, Utah is 53-90 in conference play.
Huff Looks For 1,000: Through 58 games in a Utah uniform,
Megan Huff has 989 points. She is just 11 points away from becoming a 1,000-point scorer at Utah. With her 455 points during her time at Hawaii, she has 1,444 points in her career as a Division I women's basketball player.
14 and 20: Megan Huff has 14 games in the 20-point range this season, tying her for fourth in the Pac-12 this season. She has scored 20+ points in 21 games since becoming a Ute, including in the last two games.
That Defense: Utah currently has three players ranked in the top-12 in the Pac-12 in steals per game with
Dre'Una Edwards,
Megan Huff and
Erika Bean all averaged 1.5 per game. The Utes are the only team in the league that have three different players averaging over 1.3 steals per game.
