Incoming Freshman Lola Pendande Shines For Barca CBS

Incoming Utah women's basketball freshman Lola Pendande has been tearing it up on the international circuit this past year, playing for Barca CBS during the 2018-19 season.
The 6-4 forward has played in 22 games this past season, averaging 20.3 minutes, 9.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. She leads the team in total rebounds and field goal percentage (.503) while ranking second on the team in total points.
Through 26 regular season games this year, Bar?a CBS will head into the second stage, which their leagues playoffs, starting April 25.
Pendande has been integral in Barca CBS's success this season, scoring in double digits consistently right out the gate. In her first game with the team, she posted 12 points, seven rebounds and two blocks against Rioja in their season opener in just 22 minutes of play.
She grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds twice so far, first against Cerdanyola on Oct. 20 along with eight points and four blocks in just 17 minutes of play. Pendande also recorded 13 boards against ADBA on Dec. 15, also putting up 14 points for her first double-double of the season.
After helping Barca CBS to a 74-59 win with a 12 points, 11 rebounds performance against Coruna on Dec. 22, she went off on Jan. 12 for a season-best 21 points against Ardoi. She shot 7-of-10 from the floor and 7-of-12 from the free throw line, adding nine rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes of play.
Heading into its final set of regular season games, Pendande averaged 10.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game over a five-game span, helping Barca CBS to go 4-1 in those games. Barca CBS finished the regular season 17-9 overall as they head into the second stage.
Prior to her time with Barca CBS, Pendande played high school basketball at Ribet Academy in Los Angeles. She was named the John R. Wooden Southern California High School Player of the Year in 2018 along with all-area, all-open division and MaxPreps all-state honorable mention.
