Q: What was it like playing your first season of professional basketball?
A: "I really enjoyed it. I got to travel to a lot of amazing countries and finally being healthy throughout the season made it so much fun. I learned so much about myself and improved my game as well. I had great teammates and feel like I'm just getting started."
Q: What city is your team located in and what is your favorite part about living there?
A: "I was in Brno, Czech Republic. My favorite part about living there was trying new restaurants and the downtown city centre. The weather was also a lot milder than Canada so I was enjoying the sunshine and a lot less snow."
Â
Q: What do you do when you aren't playing basketball?
A: "I made it to five new countries this season, Israel and Turkey for Eurocup games, and Germany, Austria and Hungary for fun to explore and sightseeing. Even with only one day off, Vienna and Prague are 2 hours away from where I lived and I could go for the afternoon. I love the history and old teammates. Other than that I watched A LOT of Netflix and I did puzzles and coloring books in my room."
Â
Q: What has it been like getting to play with other players from all around the world?
A: "I love how many different styles of basketball there are. The European style is very skilled and I loved how the players on my team could make amazing plays and have incredible finishes. Playing with different players can only improve your game. Every teammate I've had has taught me something different, like how to be a better teammate or a new move on the court that I've never seen before."
Â
Q: What have been some of the differences between playing college basketball and professional basketball?
A: "Well, there is definitely a lot less running drills as a professional. We still did skill work to start our practices, which is always important, but we did a lot more competing and scrimmaging at the end of practice to get used to playing with each other and developing our offensive sets and chemistry that way. I loved it because every day you got to compete and play in a game like setting with no stoppages and make mistakes through live play. There's a lot less structure in a way professionally, my team at least called a lot less sets and we got to create things and see what happened." @empotter10

Q: Is there something you miss the most about living in the United States or Canada?
A: "I miss my family the most. And not being in the same time zone as all my friends back in North America is hard to adjust to as well. One "food" I really miss is ranch dressing. They don't have it in a lot of countries in Europe."
Â
Q: What has been your favorite memory playing professional basketball so far?
A: "Favorite memory was just about a month ago playing against our rivals. My team is KP Brno and Zabiny Brno is just across town. We beat them at the beginning of season in overtime and then lost to them in Czech Cup semifinals in January and again in league. We were playing them to see who would move ahead in league standings for playoffs. We were down double digits in the first half and ended up winning by double digits. It's always exciting and packed stands when we play and it was such a fun atmosphere."
Â
Q: What did you learn during your time at Utah that helped prepare you for a professional basketball career?
A: "I learned how to work hard and how to take care of my body. Now being a professional, all of that falls on me. I have taken everything I've learned from all the great support staff and coaches I've had at Utah and brought that with me to the next level. Especially to NEVER let a player get an offense board after a free throw. Three minute drills. Yikes."
