Three former University of Utah women's basketball student-athletes played in their rookie seasons overseas in 2019-20 with
Megan Huff,
Emily Potter and
Erika Bean all making significant impacts on their respective teams.
Potter played at the U from 2013-18, redshirting during the 2014-15 season. She left Utah with the single-season and career block records, also ranking in the top-15 in Pac-12 history in both career blocks and rebounds. She was a three-time All-Pac-12 selection and a two-time all-defense team selection.
Huff came to the Utes after being a two-sport athlete at the University of Hawaii. After sitting out the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer rules, she made an immediate impact, earning back-to-back first-team All-Pac-12 nods while becoming a 1,000-point scorer for the Utes in just two seasons. She wrapped up her career as a Ute ranking in the top-10 all-time in single-game points, single-season scoring average, career scoring average and career three-point percentage.
Bean played in 126 career games with 91 starts for the U., finishing her career ranked No. 4 all-time at Utah in career assists. She ranked in the top-five in the Pac-12 in assists and assists per game in back-to-back seasons, also ranking in the top-10 in the league in assist/turnover ratio. She led the Utes in assists in 69 career games.

Played the 2019-20 season for Chania in the A1 league in Greece … played in 16 games, averaging 33 minutes, 7.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.0 steals and 9.4 points per game … recorded 10 rebounds and nine points in her debut against Dafni Agioy, adding six assists … put up a season-high 16 points against Esperides, also adding 11 rebounds and eight assists … had 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals against Niki Lefkadas … season-high five steals against Panathinaikos, adding 11 points and six rebounds … had nine rebounds in back-to-back games against Giannena and Kronos AD, also scoring a combined 18 points and 13 assists in those two games … season-high nine assists against Paok, also recording 10 points, six rebounds and four steals … 15 points, 13 rebounds and six assists against Panathinaikos.

Played her debut professional season for TTT Riga, averaging 23.8 minutes, 7.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 12.6 points per game in the Estonian League … put up 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting against Venezia, adding nine rebounds, an assist and a steal … scored 16 points in 29 minutes against USK Praha, shooting 4-of-5 from the floor with seven rebounds … finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Castors Braine in December with a season-high three assists … scored 12 points with a season-high 18 rebounds against Castors Braine in October … had 10 points, seven rebounds and a season-high four steals in her debut game against USK Praha in October … recorded 17 rebounds and nine points against Cukurova … shot 4-for-9 from the floor and 2-for-5 from the three for 14 points, adding nine rebounds, three assists and three steals against SBK Liepaja … 12 rebounds and 19 points against Aistes … 18 points against Liepaja in the league semifinals, leading TTT Riga to the league championship game. Played in her first professional season for Valosun KP Brno in the ZBL … played in 17 games in the Czech Republic League, averaging 20.1 minutes, 6.5 rebounds and 11.6 points per game … also played in four games for Valosun KP Brno in the Eurocup, averaging 19.5 minutes, 5.3 rebounds and 8.5 points per game … scored a career-high 20 points against Slavia, shooting 8-for-10 from the floor, adding nine rebounds … had 19 points in 19 minutes against U19 Chance, shooting 8-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-3 from the free throw line … double-double with 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds against Slovanka … scored 18 points on 9-of-16 shooting against Sokol HK, adding 12 rebounds … recorded 16 points in 14 minutes against Loko Trutnov on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor and 6-of-6 from the free throw line … double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds against Slovanka later in the season … season-high four steals against USK Praha with 13 points … season-high four blocks against Slavia.
