SALT LAKE CITY – Utah women's basketball head coach
Lynne Roberts announced the addition of Kelsey Rees to an already outstanding 2020 signing class, completing the 2020-21 roster.
Rees, a 6-5 center out of Glenelg North, South Australia, will join Kennady McQueen, Peyton McFarland and Donna Ntuambe this upcoming season as Utah's newcomers. McQueen, McFarland and Ntuambe were named the No. 20-ranked recruiting class in November by ESPN, and with the addition of Rees, the Utes will not only be adding height but also athleticism to the 2020-21 squad.
"Every year, our recruiting classes continue to get stronger and stronger, and I am grateful for my staff for working so hard," Roberts said. "This 2020 class is the highest ranked recruiting class in Utah program history."
"Kennady was named Utah's Gatorade Player of the Year, Peyton was Idaho's Gatorade Player of the Year, Donna is a top-15 recruit out of Canada, and now we add Kelsey to this already stellar recruiting class. We are really looking forward to adding these four in with our very talented and young returning core."

Roberts' thoughts on Rees: "We are fired up about bringing Kelsey on board into our program. At a legit 6-5, she can shoot the three, run the floor, rebound, and score around the basket. She will be able to really spread the floor with her shooting and passing ability, and will also bring some much needed size and mobility to our defense and rebounding. Off the floor, Kelsey is an absolutely brilliant student with very high academic aspirations. She will be a fantastic addition to the entire University of Utah community."
